Free spouse training up to $6000
Spouses of Active duty military members around the world are now able to enjoy a benefit that a select group of spouses in 8 states previously benefited from. The Department of Defense has set aside up to $6000 for spouses to use, and we are approved! Whether you are in need of one specific program or several related ones, we are here to help. Please, contact our military education specialist at the link below or visit the MyCAA website aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/Register.aspx and establish an account. You will need to choose Gatlin Education Services as the school.
SPOUSES
Spouses of Active duty military members in California, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina are also able to use Department of Defense and Department of Labor funds. The demonstration program (CAA) is still active for those spouses and they can choose to use the remaining eligibility under either spouse program (MyCAA or CAA). This is a demonstration program that is limited to those states and specific posts only. If you're a military spouse and stationed at a post in one of these states, please check the link below and please let me know.

Also, chapter 35 of the GI Bill is for spouses and dependents of disable veterans. The qualifying information is below:
Dependents' Educational Assistance provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. These benefits may be used for certificate programs. Remedial, deficiency, and refresher courses may be approved under certain circumstances.
Eligibility
You must be the son, daughter, or spouse of:
- A veteran who died or is permanently and totally disabled as the result of a service-connected disability. The disability must arise out of active service in the Armed Forces.
- A veteran who died from any cause while such service-connected disability was in existence.
- A servicemember missing in action or captured in line of duty by a hostile force.
- A servicemember forcibly detained or interned in line of duty by a foreign government or power.
- A servicemember who is hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment for a service connected permanent and total disability and is likely to be discharged for that disability. This change is effective December 23, 2006.
Else, we have a few partners that are willing to extend the military discount offer to the spouse. This discount ranges from $100 to $300. Please, let me know if you are interested, and I will notify you of the discount information and inform the school that you are to receive the military discount when you enroll.
The new GI Bill, where military members are able to transfer entitlement to their dependents, does not take affect until August 2009. You may find more information on it here: www.gibill.va.gov/pamphlets/CH33/CH33_Pamphlet.pdf.
