Nick Ciavarella became a certified poker instructor in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1979. He worked as a poker dealer at the Marina, Treasury, Silverbird and Tropicana resorts in Las Vegas. He was a floor man and shift boss at the Tropicana. In 2003, he returned to Buffalo, NY, and opened the first poker room in Western New York for the Seneca Nation of Indians in Irving. Mr. Ciavarella has trained many of the successful poker dealers currently employed in casinos in New York, California, Nevada, Florida, Oregon, Illinois, and West Virginia.
